Casa Loco

The location was great. The place seemed very clean and I had no issues with the kitchen or it’s appliances or it’s stock of dishes, glasses, cookware, etc. The pool was also nice. However only one of the three tvs worked and on the last day we had cockroaches. Other than that it was great.

This is our second time to this property. We like the location! It’s convenient to golf cart rental, beach access, souvenir shops, restaurants, the nature preserve and the ferry. We like the layout of the property and love the garage for parking the van and the trailer and the motorcycle. We also park the golf cart we rent in there too with room left over.

The interior is nicely furnished. Two bedrooms with bathrooms and queen beds. I have to admit my husband and I are used to a king bed, so it takes a little getting used to. The shower in the back bedroom has a shower head that will beat you up, but at least it gets you clean. The shower curtain was short so I was mopping up water after every shower. A longer curtain would be nice.

Overall, I would recommend this property. We came back for a second time, so I guess that says something! Management was accommodating and sent a text making sure we had everything we needed. And we were able to bring our two doggies!! We don’t do vacation without them! When we come back to the island, I’m sure this is where we will be staying. Thank you for a great place to stay and a wonderful vacation for 2022!!

Good location to beach, restaurants and shopping. Was surprised by a big roach in the master bath

Really relaxing stay! After some reading, we decided to try Port A's highest rated restaurants.
Thank god for Whataburger and DQ because, even though some of the restaurants received good reviews, they were substandard. Port Aransas is a good fishing town, not a food town.

We enjoyed our stay and the house was beautiful and spacious. We also enjoyed the pool.

We rented Casa Loco for 4 days. It is a decent house with all you need for family. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has a good stove, oven, microwave, and toaster. The house was pretty clean and everything were working without any issues. The laundry is in the garage on the first floor which is very uncomfortable.
The only thing that we do not like is smell. It was very stinky when we came in and I had to use almost whole bottle of air freshener to make it smell better. I think smell comes from moisture and when house is not occupied for sometime it starts smelling bad. We did not have much neighbors but some of them had party all night and very loud. We could not use pool because it was small and always busy with other people. I can imagine if all properties around have tenants. It would be very uncomfortable and loud if you come for the quiet family vocation.

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. I brought additional paper towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags. What was supplied was almost sufficient. Location was great! I was able to check in a little early which was nice. Will definitely stay here again

The house was clean and comfortable. A nice place for a family. Friendly atmosphere and laid back. The pool could use a little cleaning but overall a great place.

This was our second time staying at Casa Loco and we enjoyed it as much as we did the first time. Location is great and we love having the large garage to park our vehicles and golf cart in. The house has everything we need and the pool is great.

We loved the unit and the privacy that it offered for us to have space from the other couple we shared it with. Everything was cute, and mostly super clean! Our bathtub was so terribly clogged though, that my husband spent 30 minutes pulling mounds of other people's hair out of the drain - YUCK! - but if we didn't do that, it might have flooded it was so stopped up. Would be nice for the property management to check that each time so that guests aren't forced to do that. As well, the electrical outlet in the kitchen was coming out of the wall with many wire exposed...not very safe, especially if there are kiddos around. Otherwise, it was a great experience - very comfortable and mostly clean place. Also - the management was SUPER helpful and responsive, especially when we left something in the unit, and had to come back, someone was able to let us in! We will definitely remember Starkey for that and try to stay with them again, just for that reason.

The condo was very clean and up to date. Love the giant garage. my car and my sons truck both fit. The deck was very nice to sit on in the morning and have coffee. It is close to everything so we were able to walk to the shops and the grocery store. This is the second time we have stayed in this condo and we really like it.

We had an amazing time! The physical location was perfect. The rooms were spacious and the AC worked great. My only complaint were the mosquitoes coming from the pond in the adjacent property. On the first day, my family was bitten numerous times.

Very nice sitting on the spacious balcony...the 4 of us enjoyed the breeze & the view overlooking the pool surrounded by palm trees & tropical landscape as we talked and listened to music. The living area was just right, well decorated, the beds were comfortable and the property is well maintained. Great stay!

· Time went by too fast!

Honestly, the fees that were charged on top of the unit rental were very high. The good thing about the unit was it was spacious and we liked the location. The things we weren’t pleased about, is I felt the furniture in the unit was worn and kind of dirty. I realize it’s a beach unit but it needed a good deep cleaning. There were way to many rules that needed to be followed and the living room TV didn’t work so it ruined our plans of staying in on Saturday night to watch the game. ( there were 5 of us, so laying in the bed in the bedroom was not an option).

Had a great time and great location. Two needs for improvement. Dryer door broken couldn’t use and mattresses are old and can feel EVERY SPRING!! Please change those immediately and would be happy to stay again!!

It was great! Bed were so comfortable, kitchen had everything, love the garage, and both patios!! Kids loved being able to swim whenever. Dryer was out but they brought extra towels for us. It is in the best location!!

I have been a long time vacationer of Port Aransas and I am glad I stumbled upon this island gem. It’s affordable, clean, friendly, and most importantly easy access to everywhere around the Island. The two car garage was great and not worrying about leaving our stuff out. The stairs were a little wobbly, but it’s about the adventure after all.

Had another great family beach week! This is our 5th time in Casa Loco - We like the easy to sweep up the beach sand hardwood and tile floors, relaxing on the large, covered, front porch, parking our truck in the very large garage (so we can leave our beach treasures in the back of the truck without fear of theft), cooking in the well stocked kitchen, and relaxing in the air conditioning that keeps up with the humidity and high heat. The grandkids love the pool, eating at the kitchen bar, and playing board games on the large dining table. We'll be back soon!

Casa Loco was clean, perfect location, and offered everything we needed. The garage was huge which was a plus. We were able to fit 2 vehicles plus room for a golf cart. The sofa in the living area was comfy, however the extra sitting chair was not. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size and beds were decent for a vacation rental. Our only complaint was that it took about a day for our refrigerator to get cold, so I recommend you keep perishables on ice for the first night. We were there on a holiday weekend and it was still fairly quiet. Pool was right outside and very clean. I would stay here again. Good value for the price.

I was Doing research for a couple days before i saw Casa loco and was amazing at the price so i booked It and let me tell you i was Not disappointed. The place is beautiful and quite and i felt At home there. We are going back at the end of this month. The only thing i would Say was the stairs are wobbly which scared my 3 year old.

The property was very clean and spacious, we couldn't have been more impressed with our overall experience. The condo was conveniently located to "downtown" Port A. Everything was in walking distance and the beach was less than a 5 minute trip. We were very satisfied with our stay, we can't wait to do it again!

We really enjoyed staying in Las Palmas. The property was centrally located in Port A and I like that the units surround the pool. The pool was refreshing to relax in after a day of fishing. Our patio was on the shady side in the evenings which was a plus. I like that shade was provided in the pool and on some of the beach chairs. The Casa Loco unit was nice and I really appreciated the kitchen pans were truly non stick and newer. I also liked that there were plenty of dishes and utensils so we didn't have to run the dishwasher constantly. The garage is wonderful! We could pull our truck and boat in and lock it up for the night. It was also very handy to be able to lock away fishing rods and bicycles that we rented. WiFi worked perfectly and was appreciated. The Starkey Management group was also very easy to work with, friendly and helpful. Overall, I'd definitely recommend!

We come down to the coast very often and have stayed in many different properties. This has to be one of my favorites! The price was right too!
The layout of the living quarters was just right for 5 guests. And there is plenty of room for the kennels. Of all things one of the best amenities was the oversized garage. We had 2 cars and a golf cart inside and one truck in the driveway. And even though it is pet friendly...the rooms did not have an animal odor.

Great location- close to stores and restaurants, and a short drive to the beach! There was a tv in every room, which made it nice for a large family to have options. We loved having garage access so we didn't have to haul our fishing gear inside every day.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Loco this summer during a family trip to the beach. The property was clean and well stocked with towels, dishes, etc. Check-in and check-out processes were super convenient. Not to mention, the property was just amazing! Great location, close to shops, restaurants and just a short drive to the beach. Plus, you're sitting right above a beautiful pool if driving to the beach just feels like too much work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

When we arrived in the condo we found the sleeper sofa to be broken and rendered totally useless. We could not even sit on the sofa! We called the property company and they returned our call the next day saying they already had a work order in to fix the sofa and were unable to repair it and needed to contact the owner for a replacement. We were VERY disappointed that they knew there was a problem and didn't contact us before we arrived. It would have been nice to know we had an option of either changing condos or getting some of our money back. The outdoor table on the second floor was in horrible condition and we were afraid to sit in the chairs. The downstairs had a wooden picnic table that was nice. There is not an easy way to park in the garage, which is huge. The washer and dryer are downstairs in the garage. They did supply dish soap, auto-dish soap, paper towels, bath soap, trash bags, and toilet paper. The pool was nice and had some shade sails over them if you wanted to be in the pool and in the shade. The neighbors were very friendly and the location is within walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend that you ask ahead of time if everything is in working order before you rent or you will be disappointed. Relaxing on the sofa and watching a movie at the end of the day was on our agenda but unfortunately that was not able to happen! We had to go to our bedrooms to watch tv at night, not very social!

He was unable to sleep on this bed for 3 of the 4 nights that we were there. Im glad we only had 5 people because the rental truly only accommodated sleep quarters for 4. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at Casa Loco but we probably will not rent again until this bedding is replaced.
