The Padre Island National Seashore is the longest stretch of undeveloped barrier island land in America. This pristine preserve is located in nearby Corpus Christi and sits between the Gulf of Mexico and Laguna Madre. Boasting 70 miles of beaches, prairie, coastal dunes, wind tidal flats, and more, Padre Island is home to a diverse variety of flora and fauna and abundant outdoor recreation.

The park is specifically known as a nesting spot for Kemp's ridley sea turtles, and it's also home to nearly 400 bird species.

In addition to wildlife viewing, you can go kayaking, canoeing, fishing, surfing, and more.
